Paper gift bows can be very expensive, plus they usually come in mostly plain and boring colors. You can make your own big and beautiful bows out of scraps of paper, magazines, newspapers, wrapping paper, or fun scrapbook paper. Check out Allison’s detailed tutorial on how to make these bows. She uses strips of wrapping paper to make bows that coordinate with the packages she is wrapping. Overall these are pretty simple to make but a little time consuming. Thinner paper like wrapping paper, or magazine paper is easier to work with than scrapbook paper. However, using scrapbook paper makes sturdier bows. I would also recommend using Elmer’s Dot Runner and a Paper Trimmer
when making these bows.
