I’m pretty much obsessed with this super simple and creative way to wrap odd shaped items by Akamatras! What’s genius is that all you need is a little piece of paper, a hole punch, and some ribbon or twine and just about 2 minutes to wrap up a small sized gift or product in a cute little package. Akamatras uses this cute gift wrap along with a personalized stamp to wrap up some of her gorgeous handmade products from her ETSY shop in these DIY paper gift pouches. I was inspired to try the same thing with some extra pieces of scrapbook paper I’d been hoarding keeping.
1. Scraps of paper (scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, magazines, newspapers, your kid’s scribbles, a paper bag)
2. A hole punch
3. Scissors
4. Ribbon or baker’s twine
This is seriously the easiest gift wrap ever! Visit Akamatras for the full step by step tutorial.
Try using fun scrapbook paper and coordinating ribbons or baker’s twine. I punched the holes in my paper pouch a little further apart, but I found that this wrapping was a little less secure. If the gift inside is larger or wrapped up in tissue paper, then it should be secure inside the pouch. If the gift inside is very small and loose, then make sure you punch the holes closer together.
