Don’t have a blog? I’d still love to feature your awesome gift wrap idea. Just send an email to letswrapstuff@gmail.com and make the subject line: Let’s Wrap Stuff Submission. In the email, be sure to include a picture (or a few pictures), a short description of your project, and your name. You can also include a short bio about yourself. Even if you don’t have a blog, I’d be happy to link back to your Pinterest page or another social media in the post. Just let me know in the email.
What I’m looking for: quality pictures! To take great pictures, you don’t necessarily need a fancy camera. Here are a few quick tips for better pictures:
1. Use Natural Lighting. Take your pictures during the day in indirect sunlight. You want a lot of sunlight, but you don’t want harsh shadows. Inside next to a window is my favorite place to take pictures. You could also take pictures in the shade of a porch or an open garage.
2. Consider Your Background. Some of my favorite backgrounds: poster boards, simple fabrics on a flat surface, a big piece of wrapping paper or scrapbook paper, a pretty wood table or wood floor.
3. Do Simple Edits. You don’t even need photoshop or anything. Just increasing the brightness and contrast of a picture can make a big difference.
